ON BAD-STUDIES AND PROFESSIONS
- Our study listing, compiled annually in collaboration with our members, provides an overview of study opportunities in our fields.
- We help students and pupils in their search for student jobs or internships.
NETWORKING
AMONG ALL ACTORS
- We maintain regular dialogue with cultural institutions in Luxembourg and beyond. Through our activities, we connect our members with these institutions.
- Member-to-member exchange is also a priority. To foster it, we regularly organize BAD-Meets, BAD-lunches, guided tours, and excursions.
- We collaborate with other student associations: we are members of ACEL (Association des Cercles d’Étudiants Luxembourgeois), which allows us to connect with students from other disciplines.
- We also maintain links with luxembourgish professional associations in our field: the VLA (Veräi vun de Lëtzebuerger Archivisten a.s.b.l.) and the ALBAD (L’Association Luxembourgeoise des Bibliothécaires, Archivistes et Documentalistes).
BAD-STUDIES
WHY SHOULD YOU STUDY A BAD-SUBJECT?
- We live in the information age, and it is essential to train people who can structure information and quickly find what is relevant.
- Currently, there is no official study program in library science, archival studies, or documentation in Luxembourg. Jonk BAD supports the initiative to create these pathways in our country.
- In this context, we also welcome the strategic objective of the National Library, aimed at promoting jobs in the BAD-field.
